The automated fetcher operated by Tripal.

Tripal is an Africa-focused travel discovery platform, starting with Egypt. TripalBot retrieves publicly available pages so that event and venue information can be checked against its original source before it is shown to anyone.

How it behaves

• It obeys robots.txt. The user-agent token to use in a rule is TripalBot.
• It waits at least two seconds between requests to the same site, and some components wait longer.
• It requests only publicly reachable pages. It never signs in, never uses another person's session, and never requests pages behind authentication or a paywall.
• It fetches a site only after a person at Tripal has reviewed and approved that specific source. Approval is not automatic and cannot be granted by software.
• It does not submit forms, place bookings, or make purchases.

Email contact@tripalhub.com and we will stop fetching it. You do not need to give a reason, and we will confirm when it is done. You can also disallow the user-agent TripalBot in your robots.txt, which we honour.

The same address is the right one for a correction, a takedown, or a question about anything TripalBot has fetched.
